NCFA Show-Off Time

Join us for the Annual Genesee County Fair Cat Show. This year, we will have another 2-ring show which allows your kitty to garner more points and maybe even champion. It takes 5 points (red-white-blue point ribbons), to champion. It takes 5 more points to Grand Champion. There is a possibility of 4 points in each ring. There is one entry fee which covers both rings.

Your entry, unless a Household Companion, must be N.C.F.A. registered before the show, not at the show. Send a current copy of your T.I.C.A., A.C.A, C.F.A., etc., registration along with $9 to N.C.F.A., 10215 W Mt Morris Rd., Flushing, MI 48433, and we will "dual-register" your fuzzy friend.

All entries must be mailed in so a show schedule can be prepared. Late entries can run the risk of not being properly assigned to their chosen classes. Mail entries early!!

Again, young people 5 and up, are encouraged to show their cats, not only in the Household Class but in Sanctioned as well. Make sure your youngster understands the importance of what he/she is part of. We want them to have fun too...but not more than us!!

You may bring in coolers with soft drinks, lemonade, etc., and sandwiches. There will be a SHORT lunch break. You are responsible to get your cat to the ring when their assigned number is called. Meet your neighbor and help each other if one of you has to take a "potty or water" run. We really do try and help each other—that's part of what and who we are.

There will be a grooming demonstration before the show so all cats start out on the same foot. Bring small scissos, fingernail clippers, a box of Johnson's Baby Powder, comb and brush.

You must be there both Saturday and Sunday. There are campsites at Wolverine/Timberline campgrounds five miles away. Self-contained campers are allowed on the Fairgrounds if you want to stay there. You must make reservations with the Fair Office.

This is YOUR show. It is what you make it. If you think you can't do this, you are sooooo wrong. Come and meet all of us and have a ball. Even the cats seem to enjoy being made over once they settle in.

We are doing the Raffle Table again. Tickets are $3 each or two for $5. The table is loaded with cat everything and if your number is chosen, you pick the prize. There are things for our young people and "treasures" for the rest of us too!!
